SeaQuest Systems would like to thank Karstensens Skibsvaerft and the Whyte family for their recent order of equipment for the new pelagic trawler FV Grateful, #435 which will be delivered in July 2017
The significant order includes 24in fish pumps, and cranes for what is sure to be a fantastic boat.
While we have supplied fish pumps and other equipment for many years to the shipyard, this is the first time we have received an order for the cranes, and we hope this will be the first of many repeat orders.
Both aft cranes will be mounted on the gantry, and have a capacity of 4t at 14m in addition to a powerblock being fitted. There is endless rotation on the powerblocks, which is something the crew will find very handy when they are working with any twists in the gear.
In addition, the crane sections will be custom-built to suit the boat, to give the best possible functionality for the crew.
The forward crane will have a lifting & reach capacity of 4t at 18m, with a 2nd smaller winch also fitted.
Standard specification on the cranes includes stainless steel cylinder rods, hinge pins, hydraulic tubing, hydraulic fittings, and hose ends. , and all steelwork is sandblasted & metalised before it’s painted, including the cylinder tubes, slew drives, and hydraulic valves.
