Due to the expansion and growth of the company in 2011 in many areas of our markets such as Russia, China, and also closer to home in Ireland, Norway, Iceland etc., it was decided to change the name of the company from Fluid Controls (Irl) Ltd to SeaQuest Systems.
2012 is proving to be no different, many new projects are under way at present, some already nearing completion, we have already traveled to Holland, Norway, England and also South Korea.
Earlier in the year, it was requested that managing director Bert Leslie and Neil Leslie traveled to South Korea for an inspection of hydraulic equipment on board a vessel there. And has now been requested to oversee the complete repairs required.
Also in production here in Killybegs, are two deck cranes for one of our customers in Holland, the bases have already been delivered and the main sections are to be delivered in the coming months. Machining of one of the bases can be seen attached. Both cranes are to be certified by Llyods, before installation.
A 40t Anchor Winch is nearing completion for our agents in Norway, like with the cranes, these will be certified but with DNV.
Soon to be added to production will be some 90t Trawl Winches, these are still in the design stages but are to be delivered later this year.
Last week 2 of our engineers traveled to England to commision a new hose reel designed for pumping water before the laying of electrical cable for an offshore wind farm. The hose reel was almost 4m in height and the drum 3.7m in diameter.
SeaQuest Systems has also seen the sales we have now become accustomed to for our fish pumps but now has been directed more & more towards the new 24″ Fish Pump.
We are also in the final stages of becoming ISO certified and are planning to be fully certified by June 2012.
